Chinese electric-car maker XPeng Inc. widened its losses in the last quarter of the past year but is optimistic for the first three months of 2022, the company announced in a filing.
- Net loss for the fourth quarter stood at RMB1.287 billion, up from RMB787.4 million in the previous year but lower than the RMB1.594 billion in the past quarter. Diluted net loss per share was RMB1.51, up from RMB1.05 in 2020.
- Total revenues for the quarter jumped by 200.1% to RMB8.556 billion from RMB2.851 billion in 2020, and 49.6% higher than the RMB5.719 billion the previous quarter. Total deliveries grew 22% to 41,751.
- Full-year net loss grew by 78% to RMB4.863 billion from RMB2.732 billion, while revenues grew 259.1% to RMB20.998 billion from RMB5.844 billion. Deliveries jumped 263% to 98,155 units.
- XPeng expects first-quarter 2022 deliveries between 33,500 and 34,000 to mark an annual increase of 151.1% to 154.9%, and revenues between RMB7.2 billion and RMB7.3 billion to reflect growth between 144.0% to 147.4%.
Total deliveries reached 12,922 vehicles in January and 6,225 vehicles in February. XPEV is down 1.92%.
