Electric-vehicle maker Lucid is launching a new version of its popular and powerful Air luxury sedan, according to a report by CNBC on Tuesday.
- The Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance will start selling with 1,050 horsepower and a starting price tag of $179,000.
- The company’s Air sedan has been impressive in different ways since its unveiling last fall, as part of the amazing performance of the 1,111-horsepower Dream version.
- Lucid limited production of the Dream Edition to only 520 vehicles, all of which were spoken for months before the company started shipping the first Airs from its Arizona factory in October.
- Lucid stated the Grand Touring Performance, with specifications close to the Dream Edition and a starting price of only $10,000 higher, will not be limited in production.
The company now expects to deliver between 12,000 and 14,000 vehicles in 2022, down from the initial forecast of 20,000. LCID down -0.90%, TSLA up +1.76%
