The amount of Ethers staked for the upgraded Ethereum 2.0 breached 5 million to hit a new record high, according to a Twitter account that tracks ETH validators.

  • In a post on Thursday, @eth2validators said there were 154,395 validators with 5,100,898 ETH deposited so far.
  • This reflects a total locked value of $13.7 billion based on an exchange rate of $2,700 per coin. This constitutes 4.4% of ETH supply.
  • Out of the total validators, 148,761 were deemed as “active.”
  • Some 1,097 validators were being added daily based on the seven-day average, with queues at 5,634.

ETH/USD is up 3.71%.
