Chinese electric vehicle maker NIO Inc. reported a 373% year-on-year sales growth in March, the company reported in a press release.
- NIO delivered 7,257 vehicles during the month. This includes 1,529 six-seater and seven-seater ES8s; 3,152 five-seater ES6s; and 2,576 EC6s.
- The company reported 20,060 vehicle deliveries in the first quarter, reflecting a 423% year-on-year increase. Cumulative deliveries reached 95,701 as of March 31, 2021.
- NIO launched its first autonomous driving model ET7 in January. It started deliveries of the seven-seater ES8 in June 2018; the six-seater ES8 in March 2019; the ES6 in June 2019; and the five-seater EC6 in September 2020.
- NIO offerings provide power solutions, the Battery as a Service (BaaS), NIO Pilot and NIO Autonomous Diving (NAD), Autonomous Driving as a Service (ADaaS), and other user-centric services.
