Microstrategy added 3,907 more bitcoins at $45,294 per BTC price, making it the public company with the biggest holdings of the digital token, according to an SEC filing.

Microstrategy spent approximately $177 million in new bitcoin buys, with the company promising to continue buying and holding the world’s biggest cryptocurrency.

CEO Michel Saylor has committed to educating businesses, investors, regulators, and the general public about the value of digital assets, even as he shuns other cryptocurrencies.

The company now holds a total of 108,992 BTCs, acquired at an average price of $26,769 per bitcoin, translating to a $2.918 billion total amount. The holdings equate to about 0.58% of the total 18.75 million bitcoins in circulation.
