The unemployment insurance claims in the U.S. are 860,000 this week against the estimate of 875,000. The numbers are reported by the Labor Department on Thursday. The figure shows a modest downshift in claims, which had hit the peak rate of 6.9 million in the late march.

- Prior Continuing Claims were reported to be higher from 13.385M to 13.54M
- The average revised of past four weeks is higher from 970,800 to 973,000
