The Iranian government has released licenses for 30 cryptomining units, according to Financial Tribune.
- Data published on the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade website showed that the biggest number of licenses was issued to crypto farms in the Semnan province with six.
- The Ministry issued four licenses for crypto mining units in the Alborz province, followed by the Mazandaran, East Azarbaijan, and Zanjan, while only one unit was allowed in Tehran.
- The Ministry also authorized 2,579 permits for establishments. Provinces with the most issued are Zanjan with 305, Fars with 262, and West Azerbaijan with 247.
Outgoing Iran President Hassan Rouhani earlier this month said he wants cryptocurrencies legalized as soon as possible.
