The government is never going to let cryptocurrencies out of its control, Apple Cofounder Steve Wozniak said in a Markets Insider report.
- Tech entrepreneur Steve Wozniak said that conversations involving cryptocurrencies should be at the “heart of business dealings,” the government will likely not allow them to be out of their control.
- Wozniak said the government is unlikely to give up its power, and would just disallow digital tokens if they fail to pass government observations and taxations.
- Wozniak said he also believes that digital currencies will evolve into a functional method of payment, citing digital payment transactions through platforms such as PayPal, Apple Pay, and Venmo.
The entrepreneur, however, raised concerns over the anonymity behind crypto. BTC is up 2.44%, ETH up 3.54%, and XRP up 0.15%.
