Crypto exchange Coinbase announces its NFT marketplace is officially live in a limited-access beta version, according to a report by Decrypt on Wednesday.
- Coinbase NFT is available to choosing users added from the waitlist, which has had millions of prospective users since October.
- The peer-to-peer marketplace has unveiled support for NFTs minted on Ethereum, and Coinbase plans to add support for other blockchain platforms in the future.
- Coinbase NFT will integrate listings from various marketplaces, with any NFT available for sale on the Ethereum blockchain searchable on the platform.
- Coinbase’s marketplace will launch with no extra transaction fees, even with standard Ethereum gas fees. Coinbase NFT is only usable with self-custody wallets, including Coinbase Wallet and MetaMask.
