Nio Inc reported deliveries of 10,628 vehicles in September, up 125.7% from the year-earlier, and deliveries of 24,439 vehicles in Q3, according to a news release by Nio on Friday.
- The third-quarter number topped the company’s own guidance from early September of 22,500 to 23,500 vehicles.
- The China-based electric vehicle maker expects the global chip shortage to affect the deliveries and downgraded guidance from an initial range of 23,000 to 25,000 vehicles.
- The third-quarter delivery figure represents an increase of 100.2% from the third quarter of 2020. The deliveries comprised 1,978 ESBs, 5,260 ES6s, and 3,390 EC6s.
- As of September 30, 2021, the total deliveries of the ES8, ES6, and EC6 increased to 142,036 vehicles.
