The Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) was paused on Monday morning for trading as investigations of “market data issues” were underway, according to Yahoo!finance. ASX said it is working to rectify the issue as soon as possible.
- The ASX trading pause attracted attention with some tweeting, “Wonder if they tried to turn it off, wait a few minutes and turn it on again?”
- Investors will receive 30 minutes’ notice before the resumption of trading.
- ASX pause comes after the New Zealand Stock Exchange was hacked repeatedly in August 2020.
